Hello there!

I am glad you decided to stop by, because an important part of therapy is making sure I am the right fit for you! Thank you for taking the time to explore whether we pair well based on my credentials and your specific needs.  Are you an adult who has lived through a traumatic experience that has changed your quality of life? Do you have a negative belief about yourself, due to your past that is influencing your present emotions and self esteem? Do you want to process through the trauma you experienced that is keeping you from living an adaptive emotionally healthy life? Do you experience anxiety or depression from your traumatic experience? Then I may be the right therapist for your needs.

I am a fully licensed clinical social worker (LMSW) who brings years of experience as a mental health professional. I earned my Masters in Social Work at Wayne State University in 2018 and received my Bachelors in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University in 2015.  My background as a Clinical Social Worker comes from working in community mental health as well as the hospital system; where I held roles in the emergency department, psychiatric emergency department, psychiatric inpatient hospitalization and inpatient rehabilitation.

The approach I utilize in session is EMDR (EMDR trained by EMDRIA). Alongside EMDR, I frequently use Psychoanalytic, Psychodynamic, Person centered, and Strength-Based Approach; I believe all clients have the answers however need guidance in making connections to their lived experiences.

I understand how difficult it can be to reach out to a therapist. Remember the first step is to find someone who would be the right fit for your needs! My goal is to help you process through your trauma and live a more emotionally adaptable and enjoyable life where your trauma no longer triggers your anxiety or depression.

I encourage you to take the first step by reaching out with any questions or schedule an appointment with me as I am excited to meet you and help you through your therapeutic journey.
