Parenting is certainly a challenge, especially these days. It can be difficult to watch your child deal with their everyday stress and feel like there is nothing you can do to help them. It is even more frustrating when something big happens in your or your child’s life, making parenting even more daunting.
Seeking out professional help is a good first step in processing the feelings that come with this responsibility. As a parent myself, I understand the emotional hurdles that arise when raising children in this era of anxiety.
I received my Masters Degree from Siena Heights University in 2008, and have enhanced my skills over the years to help people feel welcomed, heard and comfortable.
Throughout my years of practice, I focused on my therapeutic relationship with children who had various mental health struggles and behavior issues. Now, I am shifting my scope of practice to prioritize the needs of parents or guardians who are looking for support. In addition to parent support, I also have experience in working with teens and adults with anxiety and depression.
